-New song addiction- 「トリノコシティ」Torinoko City / Monday, August 2, 2010 @ 6:45 AM
Well... yeah. for the last few days, I've been listening to one particular song I stumbled upon while looking for some 'new' vocaloid songs. I think this is relatively new, so to speak, since most of the videos I found were either uploaded yesterday, or the day before. ^^ The song's name is: トリノコシティ/Torinoko City, which was composed by :40meter-P, and sung originally by Hatsune Miku. Original: My favorite cover of this song is by a female nico-singer called ENE, who really has the suitable voice for this song in my opinion. The piano and beat in this song are truly addicting, the lyrics are very nice, but a little hard to explain, but here is what I think the song is more or less about, according to what got from the subs in the video above, and to my very little Japanese knowledge [need to practice more]: Apparently, in the first part of the song, she is confused, and is lost in the place where future and past cross. Thus she is asking someone: What's your name? why do you keep living on? In the chorus, she is saying: "Left alone somewhere, only by myself, A soundless world, a made-up world. If it's only a matter of throwing away rotten fruit, I don't need two people, because I can handle it alone." According to that, I'm guessing she's just like all those people who... block themselves from the outside [two first lines] and who says that they don't need anyone's help [last line], whereas, maybe she does. As the song continues, in the 2nd verse, she's even more confused now, asking for her own name, and the reason why she is still alive. Then she says: "A love worn out from a repeating love, hate, love, hate. I don't need anymore." So apparently, this is why she blocked herself away, because she got fed up of loving, hating, loving and hating over and over again. As the song comes to an end, the next chorus goes: "Time always goes too fast, This world, breaking every second. Covered in a distorted view, I don't need an answer, a lie is okay." last chorus, a repeat of the first, but with a slight change: "Left alone somewhere, only by myself, A soundless world, a made-up world. If it's only a matter of throwing away rotten fruit, I can't do it alone, because I wish someone would stay by me." So... I guess the whole song is about someone, who started getting fed-up of her contradicting emotions in her love life, so she decided to just go on alone, but in the end, realized that it's not as liberating as she might have thought it would be. ...I've re-read my post several times and I keep thinking I mis-interpreted the song. I'm sorry >< but I'm really not good at doing things like this on my own... I do hope you get the main feeling this song gives though, since... I really love it ^^; Labels: 40meter-P, addiction, city, Hatsune Miku, new, song, torinoko, vocaloid |
